S.M.A.R.T is an acronym for Small to Medium Area Repair Technique. These repairs have been around for a while but are still not commonly referred to by this term.

The basis is to concentrate on repairing the damaged area rather than repairing large sections of the car that don't require it. This can save you up to 75% on bodyshop repair prices and in most cases you can have your car back the same day...or even while you wait!

Scuffs 'n' Stuff started back in Jan 2001 as a mobile repair business with Andy running it as a sole trader. In Dec 2005 we expanded into our SMART repair centre in Markyate and took on a new partner to the business, Dan. Andy trained Dan during his apprenticeship and Andy's partner Candice also works in the offce, so we a friendly family orientated outfit.

Both Andy & Dan are fully trained car paint sprayers with years of experience working on prestige cars. The knowledge they have gained working in quality bodyshops and learning the up to date techniques of SMART repairs allows them to supply customers cars with the best possible care. Both have had some of their specialist work featured in magazines, which you can check out in the Custom Projects page.

With the success of our first year in the workshop we have took on an apprentice, Ben, who is attending college to attain a professional qualification in body painting. Although we are a growing business we are small enough to care about our customers and want to keep it that way.

We now no longer offer a mobile service. Although this is how we managed to build the company as it is today it is no longer viable for us to continue. We urge you now to take advantage of our no appointment policy for estimates and come along to our workshop.(See our opening hours)

The centre is designed to fill the gap between mobile repairers and bodyshops. Saving time and money for the customer without sacrificing quality of workmanship. We also want to provide a more welcoming atmosphere for anyone to come to that is traditionally not the case with car repair workshops.

We can take on the usual chips, scratches and scuffs along with the repainting of entire panels, colour coding and minor dents. The centre has a fully functional paint spray oven that ensures a better quality finish for your car. We even have viewing window to allow you to see what happens inside the spray oven. If you want to know if we can handle your job, then contact us or pop in and see us. We can save you time and money by painting the damaged area not the entire panel where possible.

We use fully compliant and enviroment friendly waterbased paints. Contrary to popular belief with these new paints we can achieve the same quality of finish without the damage to the environment previously experienced with solvent paints.
